Occupational Therapist

Annapurna Deshmukh

Annapurna started her career as an Occupational Therapist in 2003, within a private clinic specialising in early intervention, orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation across all ages.

Annapurna continued in the field of community based disability through Family and Community Services (ADHC) for the past 9 nine years in the provision of occupational therapy services to individuals with complex needs in group homes, day programs, schools and in their homes. 

Annapurna’s interest in disabilities has resulted in her taking on post graduate studies in Developmental Disability. She continues to work with individuals with disability as she is passionate about helping them reach their maximum potential and improve their quality of life.

Annapurna is a mum to three little girls and loves spending time with her family, cooking and exploring nature.

Occupational THerapist

Alexandra Richardson

Alexandra has over 14 years clinical experience across hospital, community and private settings specialising in adult community occupational therapy with over 13 years experience managing adults with complex needs in the community.

Alexandra spent 8 years in Prince Of Wales (POW) Community Health as a senior occupational therapist working with aged and younger adults with a wide variety of disabilities. Alexandra developed a high level of skills in home modifications, complex equipment prescription, wheelchairs, pressure care and falls prevention while in this role and participated in various advisory committees including South East Sydney Higher Home Modifications Panel, Enable NSW Pressure Mattress advisory panel and Chair of POW Community Health Falls Prevention Committee. Other community experience includes Transitional Aged Care teams, Rapid Response team in London UK, and private practice.

Alexandra spent the last 2 years working in complex health supported accommodation with people with severe neuromuscular and intellectual disabilities, providing wheelchair and postural assessments and other interventions to increase their quality of life.
